Local Skills Competition

When students participated in the competition, teachers and parents hoped for them all to have luck in their area. There will always be parents, teachers, and the judges congratulating the ones who placed a silver or gold metal. Those selected students who had won are going to districts and potentially states then nationals and compete to see who will win.

When asked, how does it feel to be moving on to the next step on to Districts, Nash Crytzer said that, “If I can great, but if not, I’m happy with where I’m at. I probably have a good chance though.” Most participants will feel that they have a good chance in districts and hoping to move on to states then nationals.

When asking a teacher, how do you feel about how many students participated in the local skills competition? And how many will be moving on to districts? Mrs. Simcick responded saying, “SkillsUSA competitions are an exciting part of education at Lenape Tech. SkillsUSA showcases students’ talents and their learning. I see great things for those individuals who placed in the Local competitions. Hopefully with some preparation, we will see them make their ways through Districts, States, and onto Nationals! Good luck SkillsUSA participants! Thank you for showing our community the importance of skills and trades!”

This is just one of many competitions that will continue this year, so we are all wishing good luck to the SkillsUSA participants that are moving on to the districts!!
