Mr. Douglas Anthony is always happy and enjoys coming to Lenape Technical School and teaching and making memories with these great students here. He was asked 10 questions which are as follows:

1. What kind of music do you like?
2.    What’s one thing you’re really bad at?
3.    What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
4.    Which historical figure would you most like to meet?
5.    When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
6.    Where did you grow up at?
7.    Do you remember your first pet? What was his/her name?
8.    Do you have any kids? How many?
9.    What do you enjoy most about life?
10.    Favorite Holiday/holidays?

Mr. Douglas Anthony said, “I do not have a particular kind of music that I prefer.  I am not a huge fan of country music.  It all sounds the same to me.  I am not good at drawing.  My oldest daughter is great at drawing, she must get that from my mother.  I am not one who takes compliments well. My mother always tells me I am a great dad; that is a compliment that all dads want to hear. I do not have any historical figure that I personally want to meet but if I had to meet one it would be Elon Musk.  I think it would be interesting to hear his story of success. When I was a young kid, I wanted to play Wide Receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but then I chose hockey as my #1 sport when I entered 7th grade.  I grew up in a river town called Manorville.  It sits right in between Ford City and Kittanning along the Allegheny River. We fished all the time and played games like Release the Belgium, street hockey, backyard football, and BB Gun wars.  We left the house by 9:00 AM and did not return until after dark.  That was every day of the summer and weekend when school was in. Manorville was awesome to grow up in. Everyone’s mom was your mom.  My first pet was my dog Star.  She was a Brown Doberman Pinscher; she followed me around everywhere. I have two beautiful daughters.  Ciara is 19 and going to school for Health and Physical Education, she will be transferring to Slippery Rock in January. Stevey is 16 and about to get her driver’s license, so lookout! I try to get the most out of life every day.  My favorite part of life is trying to inspire young people to do their absolute best all the time.  Anyone can attain extraordinary goals they set for themselves, but they must be willing to work for it and not let failures prevent them from achieving them. My favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving.  I am just so thankful for the people that have inspired me along my journal of life.  Although there were many downs, I ended up right where God wanted me to end up.  Being a teacher at Lenape Tech where I can share my story and inspire my students to go out and do wonderful things in life!!  And turkey dinner is my absolute favorite meal!”

He really enjoys what he does for these students, even if it does not seem like much to some, but to others it helps a lot knowing that the teachers are trying their best to make these kids have a great high school to go to. He was a highly active kid and enjoyed playing outside and fishing with people he loved. Thank you for everything you have done for Lenape Technical School and its students, and we hope that your kids grow up to be just like you!
