February is the month of love and what better way to show it than proposing marriage the ultimate commitment. Many people end up getting engaged during this month so here are wedding trends to help someone plan the wedding of their dreams.
Small weddings are a way to make a special day more intimate. They can spend more time enjoying getting married and less time entertaining guests. Having mix gender wedding parties, it is not uncommon now to see men in the bride wedding party and women in the groom’s party. Some people are deciding to get rid of the cake cutting tradition. Instead, they serve a different dessert and do a small private cake cutting ceremony.
Some brides are deciding to change into something a little comfier for the reception like a cut version of a wedding dress, this way they are free to dance, but still look like a bride in their special say. Another clothing trend is letting bride’s maids pick their own dress. Some brides are giving their bridal party almost full freedom of what they wear to the wedding by only giving them a color theme but letting them choose the style of dress.

When asking Lailah Hilliard what she thinks of the new wedding trends she said that getting away from old traditions and creating your own is something that many people will look back on.
Wedding trends are never going away whether someone decides to take part in a new age wedding or a traditional one. The new ideas that some are incorporating into their weddings are a fun way to shake things up a bit.
