Gardening Tips

Spring is here which means that it’s time to plant gardens. Here’s some gardening tips to get that garden growing strong.
Firstly “rely on no fail plants”, these are plants that are easy to grow and are great for beginners. Examples of no fail plants are Creeping Thyme, Peppermint, and Ribbon Grass. Secondly, know the length of the growing season, this is the time between the last spring frost and the first fall frost. It may be a promising idea to start the plants inside until after the last frost.
Next, find out how much light the plants need, different plants need less or more sunlight. Vegetables for example need 8 hours of direct sunlight while succulents need 4 hours. It is important to the soil’s drainage, this is because roots need oxygen and if the soil is too wet, they won’t be getting the nutrients that they need from oxygen.

When asking Lailah Hillard a student from cosmetology, if her family plants a garden she said, “Yes but only the basics like cucumbers and tomatoes.” When asked Megan Pooley she said her family does not plant a garden whe4n asked if she would ever plant one in the future, she said that she wants to plant herbs.

Gardening is something that anybody could do with a little bit of research and can be something fun to fill your spring, summer, and fall seasons.
