October is here and what a better way to get in the Halloween mood then snacks. Imagine watching a scary movie with a delicious snack that one has made him or herself, or capturing creative pictures of it for Instagram. These snacks are creative and tasty, whether one enjoys baking or just likes to snack.

The first snack is salted Carmel apple cider donuts, these are baked apple cider donuts that are put over the top with a homemade apple cider salted Carmel dip. The ingredients needed are: Apple Cider, unsalted butter, light brown sugar, heavy cream, salt, flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon/nutmeg, vanilla extract, and sugar.

The next one is pumpkin spice crisps. These are pretty much like Rice Krispie treats, but with pumpkin flavoring. All one needs is marshmallows, pumpkin pie spice, butter, pumpkin, and Rice Krispies cereal.

Another snack option is autumn brittle. This is a dessert much like trail mix with a fall spin. In total this takes 25 minutes to make. The ingredients are: almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, sugar, golden brown sugar, honey, water, salt, and butter.

Also, another fall snack would be maple walnut cupcakes. These are exactly what one thinks; they are walnut cupcakes with maple flavoring , the perfect cupcake for fall. Ingredients are: flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, unsalted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, milk, walnuts, maple buttercream, and candied walnuts.

An Instagram worthy option would be, Chocolate peanut butter acorns. These are a good “grab and go” dessert. It’s a Hershey kiss with cookie on the top to look like an acorn. These are very simple ingredients: mini chocolate chips, Hershey’s kiss, and crushed Nutter Butters for the top.

Cinnamon apple crisps are also another quick “grab and go” snack that takes little to prepare, but a long time to bake. Ingredients: 5 small apples (sliced,) cinnamon and an oven for baking.

There is nothing better than a fall campfire and this treat is inspired by a classic fire side dish, smores. S’mores Cookies are a great snack for chocolate lovers. They’re graham crackers topped with chocolate chips, marshmallows, cookie dough , and Hershey squares, that’s all the ingredients one needs.

Lastly, Salted pumpkin Carmel’s which makes a crunchy, chewy, sweet and salty Carmel’s good for on the go. Ingredients: unsalted pepitas, heavy cream, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, white sugar, corn syrup, maple syrup, water, unsalted butter, lemon juice, fleur de sel (salt that forms as crust on surface of food.) These snacks are creative and fun to make with friends and family this October. I hope to see that some of you make one of these, which ones are your favorite What other snacks do you enjoy or want to see how to make?
