A Netflix Guide Through Valentine’s Day

During February one can be on one side of a two-sided holiday. Someone can either be in a relationship and enjoy the day that is full of hearts, or one could be single and glare at every sappy picture and decoration that one comes across. Of course, the holiday in question is Valentine’s Day. Every year people have their own opinion on this holiday, but one thing about it that almost everyone can agree on is that the best thing to do is watch movies.
In today’s era the majority of the population has a streaming service called Netflix. There is a vast pool of movies that would be fit for an evening with one’s significant other. Some classic romance favorites are The Notebook, Titanic, and Dirty Dancing. Some people may not be too fond of the lovey-dovey type of movies and perhaps may prefer a romcom. Some very popular romcom movies are Valentine’s Day, To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Kissing Booth, and Just Friends.
Netflix also offers a variety of movies for the people who may have just gotten over a breakup. Under the category of breakup movies some of the more popular ones are How to Get Over a Breakup, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Someone Great.
However, if one doesn’t want to even be concerned with who gets the guy or anything about love than maybe some of the following Netflix movies would peak one’s interest: 6 Underground, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Godzilla, Silence of the Lambs, and In the Tall Grass.
Lenape students were asked what their favorite Valentine’s Day movies are and these were their answers:
Ryleigh Atherton said that she would watch Adam Sandler’s 50 First Dates.
Aliyah Hillery said that her favorite movie to watch on valentine’s day is The Notebook.
Valentine’s Day may not be everyone’s favorite holiday, but there’s always many different choices in activities. Whether one spends the day with a significant other or surrounded by fellow single friends, there’s a movie for everyone.
