National Walk to Work Day!
2 min readBy: Mackenzie Rice
The national walk to workday is the first Friday in April, what would you think about having to walk to work one day out of the year? Here are some of the teacher’s words about that. Mrs. Boyle said “I would need to look for different employment. Walking that much in one day would not work well. It would take me an entire day to walk to and from work.” The next person is Mrs. Takacs and here is what she said about this. She said “It would take me over 12 hours to walk to Lenape from my house so I do not think that would be a great use of my time! I would also have a dangerous walk on highways so again, not a great idea! I like to walk but 12 hours to get to work is crazy!!”
Here are some of the people that would have a long walk to work. Mrs. Kirsch sent an email to all the staff at Lenape Tech and asked how long it would take them to walk to work. The longest amount of time to walk to work was Mrs. Boyle with 12 hours and 48 minutes. The shortest walk to work was Mrs. Reilly with 23 minutes to walk to work. What would you do if you had to walk to work one day in April, you could not use a car or a uber or a subway or anything, you would only be able to walk to work. Here are some of the other responses we got with hours and minutes of walking to work. Mr. Zablocki with 7 hours and 21 minutes, Mr. Jasek with 9 hours and 58 minutes, Mrs. Takacs with 12 hours and 2 minutes, Mrs. Ligus with 5 hours and 49 minutes, Mrs. Fink with 8 hours and 50 minutes, Mrs. Purvis with 1 hour and 59 minutes, Mr. Haponski with 5 hours and 48 minutes, Mr. Misera with 10 hours and 56 minutes, Mr. Ingram with 1 hour and 58 minutes, Mr. Henry with 1 hour and 23 minutes, Mrs. Zilla with 1 hour and 55 minutes, Mr. Wolfe with 5 hours and 3 minutes, Mrs. Stairs with 5 hours and 48 minutes, Mrs. Fahlor with 3 hours and 36 minutes, Mrs. Betts with 9 hours and 40 minutes, Mrs. Close with 3 hours and 49 minutes, Mr. Wheeler with 6 hours and 31 minutes, Mrs. Shawl with 4 hours and 23 minutes, Mrs. Shoen with 11 hours and 41 minutes, Mr. Veronesi with 2 hours and 10 minutes, Mr. Anthony with 34 minutes, Ms. Simcik with 37 minutes, Mrs. Grafton with 4 hours and 42 minutes.
