Top 5 Places to Buy Halloween Decorations

Many people start preparing for Halloween as soon as September hits. The first and most important step is decorating. While shopping online can be easier, it is a much better experience to shop in person with friends. When interviewed, Maddie Eckman stated, “I prefer to go to T.J. Max for indoor stuff and Lowe’s for outdoor stuff, but Spirit Halloween is really the only Halloween store I know of around here.” There are not many options when it comes to Halloween stores in this area, but a lot of otherwise normal stores carry amazing fall and Halloween items. Target is a very basic option, but it is a favorite for many people because it has candy and all of the classic decorations. Target does not carry many large, outside items; however, it has everything a person would want for the inside of the house. For those who like to make their own decorations, Michael’s is the best option. It has anything artsy from fabrics to DIY kits. While this is what it is most commonly known for, it also sells the regular decorations. Spirit Halloween is one of the most popular stores for Halloween. It is known more for its costumes than decorations, but the ones it does have do not disappoint. The majority of them are based on popular Halloween movies, and there are special sections of the store that have animatronics set up in a scene. Lowe’s has a limited number of decorations, however the ones it does have make up for that. It has giant animatronics, some of which are over six feet tall. Some of the most popular ones are the ones that make up a skeleton band with a guitar player and drummer. The last store on this list is Big Lots. This is a very popular store to buy decorations because it is affordable and has both cozy and scary ones. When asked what her favorite store to find Halloween decorations is, Maddie Stein stated, “I think Spirit Halloween is a good place to go shopping for Halloween.” There are many other stores that have amazing Halloween decorations, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
