For most people, winter is a depressing time of the year, because few people do a lot during the wintertime. Though this is a more depressing time of the year for some, there are ways to still be active during this time. In winter there are many things to do during this season such as sports like snowboarding, skiing, snow tubing, sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, and much more.
Some of winter’s most well-known sports are sledding, snowboarding, and skiing. Which are all fun to try if you have not already. Many tend to appreciate winter sports. Olympics such as bobsledding, luge, skeleton, ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, curling, and many more. This year the winter Olympics are being held in France from July 26th, to August 11th. Skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and ice skating are some of the most accessible sports.
Snowboarding and skiing are two of the most popular winter sports worldwide during this time of year. There are so many places to go to play these winter sports. Such as Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, Mammoth Mountain, Holiday Valley, Boyce Park, Peak and Peak, Pink Mountain, and many more. There are also lots of places to go ice skating. For every 10000 people that populate a town there is an ice-skating rink. When interviewed Nick Toy said, “Every year my family and I try to have a day where we just meet up and hang out in the snow.” Also, when interviewed on the topic Tyler Sanders said, “Every time his family has a chance, they tie a sled to a four-wheeler and pull each other around.”
There are so many things to do sports wise this winter that everyone can enjoy the season. The giant selection of sports is a lot bigger than most think. So, people can always try something new if bored with one of them.
