What is Valentine’s Day? Valentine’s day is a day to celebrate the love people have for their significant other. People celebrate it in so many ways. Most people love this holiday.
Valentine’s day is also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or the feast of Saint Valentines. Its name comes from a person who was murdered for marrying a couple while the emperor had a ban on marriage. It is said that he was buried on February 14th, the day Valentine’s Day is now celebrated. Even though he was murdered for marrying a couple, people celebrate it to honor the love.
Valentine’s day isn’t just a day to celebrate with a significant other, it can also be celebrated with family. Valetine’s day is meant for love in general. The love of family, children, grandchildren, significant other, etc. Some people even spent the day hanging out with their friends.
There are so many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Some people celebrate it by going out or buying their partner flowers and a gift or staying in. Others will make gifts like letters to give to their loved one. During an interview with Damian Wadding, a Lenape Tech student from ADT, he said that, “I personally ignore the holiday, but I know it has some significance to others.” Another student from ADT, Skyler Ferraro, said “I think it’s a nice day to remember to love those around you.” This year take Valentines Day to spend time with a loved one.
Valentine’s day is a special day to celebrate the love people share with their partners or/and family. It is cherished by many people around the world. It’s also celebrated in many ways.
