Good Friday is a Christian holiday celebrating the sacrifice Jesus made. Christians believe Jesus died for their sins and rose again three days later. Good Friday is three days before Easter and is part of holy week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day he was crucified, Jesus was whipped and tortured. They put a crown of thorns on his head to mock him, and made him carry his own cross to where he would be executed. They nailed his hands and feet to the cross and left him to die. After awhile when they thought he was dead, they made sure by stabbing him with a spear. They buried him in a tomb and three days later he came back from the dead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This holiday is so significant for Christians because they believe that Jesus dying and rising again is the reason they can go to heaven. He died for everyones\u2019 sins and that is the reason anyone can be forgiven no matter what they have done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked if she celebrates Good Friday, Vanessa Imbarlina<\/strong>, a student in Culinary said, \u201cI do not actually.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n When asked if she celebrates Good Friday, Angel Beckett<\/strong>, a student in Law Enforcement said, \u201cMy family doesn\u2019t necessarily do anything for Good Friday, but we do celebrate Easter.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Even if a person isn\u2019t a Christian, It\u2019s important to respect this holiday because it\u2019s very important to a lot of people. One doesn\u2019t have to believe in it to respect it, and learning about different religions and cultures can be fun.
