{"id":75,"date":"2020-10-06T13:48:58","date_gmt":"2020-10-06T13:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lenapetechtimes.com\/?p=75"},"modified":"2020-10-06T13:48:58","modified_gmt":"2020-10-06T13:48:58","slug":"october-15th-national-pregnancy-and-infant-loss-remembrance-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lenapetechtimes.com\/?p=75","title":{"rendered":"October 15th National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By Chase Jack&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The loss of a\u00a0loved one\u00a0can be very devastating\u00a0to anyone.\u00a0October 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0is\u00a0National\u00a0Pregnancy and\u00a0Infant\u00a0Remembrance Day.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0October 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0is a day to\u00a0remember and honor those\u00a0lost\u00a0in the\u00a0womb,\u00a0but also outside the womb.\u00a0\u00a0More than 500,00 pregnancies each year end in miscarriage which mostly\u00a0occur during the first 20 weeks\u00a0of a woman\u2019s pregnancy.\u00a0Every year\u00a041%\u00a0of all under \u2013five child deaths are among newborn infants, and\u00a019,000 infants die in\u00a0their\u00a0first\u00a0month.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lenape teacher,<strong>\u00a0Mrs.\u00a0Barrett<\/strong>\u00a0said it is such an emotional roller coaster for a woman to lose a child\u00a0especially to a miscarriage because you are bounded to the child\u00a0even when\u00a0it is\u00a0in the womb.\u00a0Mrs.Barret\u00a0emphasized how hard\u00a0it\u00a0is to\u00a0be trying and trying to have baby and then you lose\u00a0it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lenapetechtimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/chase-article.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-93\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>NFL wide-receiver&nbsp;<strong>Marquise&nbsp;Goodwin<\/strong>&nbsp;wanted a family for so long&nbsp;and to&nbsp;become a father&nbsp;so much that he went as far as to say that he wanted it&nbsp;more than a&nbsp;Super bowl&nbsp;championship. After he married his wife, he was ready&nbsp;to start a family, and in 2017 the couple posted on social media they were expecting. At their 19-week appointment, Morgan was diagnosed with cervical&nbsp;inefficiency&nbsp;\u2014 which led to immature birth and the&nbsp;tragic death of their unborn child.&nbsp;&nbsp;Morgan and&nbsp;Marquise were devastated,&nbsp;it was very emotional.&nbsp;&nbsp;Apart from this&nbsp;an&nbsp;estimated 19% of the adult population has experienced the death of a child. After three loss baby boys&nbsp;on February 19th at 7:48 am&nbsp;moray&nbsp;&nbsp;Goodwin&nbsp;was born.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(this includes miscarriages through adult-aged children).&nbsp;(philadelphia-eagles-receiver-marquise-goodwin-wife-morgan-persevere-pain-promise-family)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1LJh8ARVhmU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1LJh8ARVhmU<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>October 15<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;is a day to remember all those babies lost.&nbsp;&nbsp;A lot of organizations put on walks to remember&nbsp;their loses and&nbsp;take time to honor&nbsp;their babies.
