Dayton fair week

The Dayton fair is usually the week before the local schools start for the year and it lasts a full week. This fair attracts a lot of people from everywhere, even though it’s a pretty small fair. This year the Dayton fair had bogo days on Tuesday and Thursday, where you could get two people in for the price of one person.  They have many different rides there and they have events that go on in the grand stand every night like the demolition derby. The fair also does a drag race where ages 4 and up can participate in the event. The fair also has power pulls which include tractors and different types of trucks. One of the other things they have is bull riding which is normally the last night of the fair. They also have rodeo aspects and set up so people can barrel race and do other events with their horses while at the fair. The fair has many different places to eat. You can get pizza and funnel cakes and all different kinds of fried foods.  

When interviewed Sam Grooms said that her favorite thing to do at the fair is, “Hang out with my friends.” Also interviewed, Kaylee Lydick said, “My favorite thing about the fair was the ufo ride.” The fair has entertainment on the stage they have there almost every day of the fair. They normally have the singing on the small stage but this year they had a concert in the grandstands.  Every year Dayton fair has a fair queen and runner up. This year the queen was Skylee Mcdonald and the runner up was Brianna Atherton. This article tells the fun aspects of Dayton fair and it will be back next year and even more fun.
