Trick Or Treating By Karlyn Kostella
2 min readWill you go trick or treating this year? Covid19 has been keeping us from doing things we enjoy this year, but at least it is not taking trick or treating, but there will be rules to follow. If trick or treaters would like to participate this year make sure to stay safe! Wear a mask, try to social distance as much as possible, go trick or treating with a small group of friends, and try not to create groups of more than 7 people.
If one is not into trick or treating, there is much more one can do to celebrate this spooky season! Get a small group of friends together and watch some scary movies, play some games, make cookies, eat a lot of candy, and carve pumpkins!
If one has kids and does not feel safe taking them trick or treating, there are more things one can do for them. Buy some candy and put different pieces of it around the house, turn off all the lights and have them find the candy with a flashlight! One can also carve pumpkins and go to a pumpkin patch with hayrides and corn mazes and make fun Halloween crafts.
One Lenape student said, “I am skipping trick or treating this year and watching scary movies and carving pumpkins with a group of friends.”
I asked Jade Smith if she was doing anything fun or different for Halloween this year and she said “I plan on going trick or treating with one of my friends, I want to dress up as a plague doctor.”
Stay safe this Halloween, do not forget to wear masks, social distance as much as possible, and try to keep one’s group of people small, have fun!
