Archery Season 2023

With archery season coming in this year on September 30, hunters are trying to prepare themselves for the season. In this article is everything hunters need to know for the 2023 archery season. Archery season is spread out over the colder months, the 2022-23 statewide archery season runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 12, continues on Sunday, Nov. 13, then goes from Nov. 14 to 18. It comes back in from Dec. 26 to Jan. 16, 2023. Archery hunters may use long, recurve or compound bows, or crossbows. Bows must have a drawback weight of at least 35 pounds, crossbows must have a minimum draw weight of 125 pounds. Safety has a big part in archery season, hunters should always let somebody know where they will be setting up at. Hunters should always make sure they keep their index finger away from the trigger when drawing back their crossbows. When talking to Laylah Rhine

the upcoming season, she stated “I’m more or a rifle hunter but I have gotten a doe during archery and it took ages to find, but I’m hoping all have more luck this upcoming year.” When talking to Jazmin Lentz about her favorite thing about the season is, she replied with, “My favorite thing about archery season is the quiet and calmness in the woods. “In conclusion hunters are getting more pumped for the 2023 archery season.
