Fun Things to Do in Fall

Fall is finally here and now that it’s not as warm as it has been many people might not know what to do with their free time. Here is a list of fun things to do in the fall. 

 Going to a pumpkin patch is number one on the list. Pumpkin patches normally have many different activities at them, so not only can people get their pumpkin to carve or paint, but sometimes they also have things like corn mazes and different fall snacks. Keeping with the outside theme, some may also want to invite friends and family over to have a bonfire. This is a fun way to end off the summer but also a way to hang out with friends and keep warm from the frigid air of the fall. In Kittanning, we are lucky to have an amusement park close by. Kennywood fright night is another fun thing friends can do on the weekend when they do not have anything to do.  

   It may be too chilly to go outside, so here are some fun things that people can do at their house. Football is a big fall sport and it’s on tv almost every week. Some people think fall is a good season to get comfortable with a blanket and some good snacks and watch the fall classics. They could also make a snack board to go with their movie night. To go on their snack board, they could bake some fall related snacks if they do not know what to make, Pinterest always has delicious recipes.  And lastly, people can start planning their Halloween costumes. There are so many clever ideas to dress up as and it is always a good idea to have a plan. 

When interviewing Lailah Hillard, a student in the cosmetology program, she said her favorite fall activity is carving pumpkins. She said that her and her siblings have a contest every year. Ryley Ringle, another student in the cosmetology program, said that her favorite thing to do in the fall is going to a pumpkin patch. She added that she enjoys this because it puts her in the Halloween mood. 

There are many things that people can do in the fall, sometimes they just need a kick start in figuring it out. This list should help keep everyone busy during this fall season.
