Everyone knows about the classic Halloween costumes like being a witch or a zombie, but those costumes are overdone, so I’m here with a list of costumes that I’m sure you’ll love. These costumes will not only stand out, but they are sure to grab attention from anyone who sees them.  

Barbie or Ken- classic barbie or the modern one from the Barbie movie, you are sure to catch eyes with this costume, not only is this costume idea cool, but you can also dress up as different decades of barbies and kens.  

The Scooby doo gang- all of your friends can dress up together and pick your favorite character. If you are feeling creative, you can even have one of your friends dress up as Scooby himself. It is a fun yet creative way to incorporate your friend group.  

 TikTok trend- if you love TikTok as much as the rest of us out here do, consider dressing up as your favorite meme, sound, or even an influencer for a unique costume that is sure to catch everyone’s eye at a Halloween party or even just trick or treating around your neighborhood.  

 Go as a pun– going as a good old joke is always a safer option for those who don’t want to stand out too much, for example you could go as a ceiling fan, all you need is a white or black t-shirt that says “Go ceilings!” on it or even better put on a kiss t shirt and a beret and boom you are now French kiss.  

AI overlord-put on your metallic clothing, random wires, and some glow-in-the-dark paint on your chest, and just like that, you are an AI overlord, even if you are not a big fan of AI. This is still a very cool costume that you may even have the parts for around your house and might not even know it.  

The mean girls cast– when it comes to the mean girls franchise there are many characters you could dress up as including; Cady, Regina George, Karen and even Janice and Damion, going as these iconic 2000’s characters is a great idea to either go by yourself or even better grab your friends and have all of them dress up as their favorite character or what character they think speaks to them.  

2000’s icons– you can even think about your favorite show or pop star from the 2000’s and dress up as them for example I’m thinking people like Justin Timberlake and Brittney spears who were also a very popular couple back then too, you could take it a step further and have either your boyfriend or girlfriend do it with you or again you can just do it with your friends and still have just as much fun. 

The Cheetah Girls– this movie and the sequels after that were very influential to how Disney was back then, and going as a girl group with your friends would be an amazing idea that is also extremely comfortable because they wear tracksuits. 

I interviewed some people about what they are going to be for Halloween this year, or if they are not dressing up at all, and here is what they said:  

“I don’t know what I’m going to be for Halloween, but I will probably go as a vampire or something.” -Maliyah Schmiedel  

“I don’t know what I’m going to be for Halloween quite yet, but something involving boots would be good, and I will definitely be going trick or treating.” -Landon Hopper  

So, grab your best ghoul friends this Halloween season and dress up in one of these fun costumes.
